Where am I heading next?

Haven’t been blogging regularly not because I have not been travelling but coz I’m lazy to load tons of photos which takes forever. Occasionally I will return to dust off the cob webs and do some back dating… Truth is, the photos are piling and to date back means they’ll go as far as 5yrs back. Too many places to blog about… bear with me!

A small fishing port not far from Lisbon ~ Cascais. Famous as it used to be a popular retreat destination for Royal family in the 1800s/1900s.

Beautiful hand painted tiles. I like the combination in this picture with the red post box.

reminds me of the mermaid statue at Copenhagen..

IMG_1640 Many came here for its excellent weather, wind and sea conditions to surf or sail. Not forgetting to mention, Cascais was also the official host of ISAF World Championship in 2007 for dinghies and yachts racing. This event is held every 4 years and the next will be 2011 in Fremantle, Western Australia.

8-Arms - Portugal

@ Restaurante Leão D'Ouro, Portugal

est. since 1640

Starter

Best Fish Soup ever during my trip.

~

Main Dish

Main dish is our 8-arms friend aka Grilled Octopus. If you are up for it and don’t mind the wait, have a go for this dish. Tasted just like chewy squid/cuttlefish.

Otherwise you can choose Grilled Fish as your safest bet! Fresh and succulent.

It was quite an experience communicating with the staffs here due to the language barrier so at times like this the very powerful universal Sign language always comes handy with a bit of broken English.
